Sales Representative

Objective 

Representing RDT Systems, the sales position will be responsible for prospecting chain retailers for qualified leads, communicate our compelling value proposition, cultivate a business relationship with prospects, identify potential sales leads, and assist in closing new contracts. Conduct sales calls using consultative sales approach to uncover qualified prospects total needs and decision-making process regarding store technology. Surveying the clients current in-store systems as it relates to Point-of-Sale to adequately qualify a sales opportunity and prepare sales proposals.

Responsibilities

  • Heavy prospecting will consist of cold calling and creative email campaigns to a pre-selected list of retailers.
  • Generate qualified leads of new retail accounts from prospecting activity. 
  • Typical contacts include:
    • IT CIO, or Retail Applications and Store Systems
    • Finance and Store Operations
  • Set appointments for introductory sales calls and/or on-line webinars.
  • Potential Trade show attendance
  • Meet or exceed established sales quota

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Prior selling experience in retail technology a plus, but not required
  • Bachelor's Degree a plus
